Order: Chiroptera aka Bats
One order of the mammals living on the island of Sumbawa is the order Chiroptera (bats). This order has many positive influences on humans. Some species eat crop pests and then excrete guano (bat feces) that is used for fertilizer (Wund and Myers). Because these bats are widespread and common, their endangered classification is of the least concern.
